The classified ad said " For Sale- one classic yellow Cub. Only one owner and she only flew it to church on Sundays. With a little elbow grease and a few dollars this could be your dream airplane....call ###-#### after 10:00AM"
Well.....maybe a bit more than a lttle elbow grease, and a LOT more dollars...
Technical Notes:
Starting wih the Hobbycraft 1/48 Cub kit and another excuse to get rid of more spare parts this simple little diorama tells a little story (I hope). Among the oddments seen in this project are an OX-5 engine from a Lindberg Jenny; the elevated gas tank is the "bomb" from an old Revell 1/72 Lancaster Dambuster; I think there's Hawk Nieuport 17 rudder in the shed. The mule bucked out of the very old 1/48 20 Mule Team borax wagon kit that once was available from Boraxo cleaner. I'm not sure where the dog originated.
