100% scratch-built model A latter version of the BE2, the BE2c was a multi-purpose single and double seater. Used in large numbers, and kept in service long after it became out-dated, it was also shot down in large numbers (1914-1918). The miniature shown here is a single seat night fighter shown in the markings of Lt. (later Sir) Frederick Sowrey who on the night of Sept 16, 1916, shot down the German Zeppelin LZ 32. This model appeared in "FINE SCALE MODELER" magazine, Nov.1990, Vol.8, No.7. |
