Though most famous for flying the dangerous "Hump" supply route in WW II over the Himalayas, the C-46 flew cargo all over during WW II. First flying in March, 1940, 3,180 of these long-winged heavy haulers had been built by war's end.

This painting was commissioned by
Williams Brothers Model Products for the box top of the
recently re-released version of their 1/72 scale C-46 kit.
